Zero To Insurance is a small, independently run site that covers pet insurance the way we wish someone had covered it for us: slowly, carefully, with real sources. No affiliate incentives decide the rankings. No generative AI writes the articles.

How we research

Every review we publish pulls from three kinds of sources: the carrier’s own policy documents, independent expert reviews (U.S. News, Bankrate, NerdWallet, MoneyGeek, CNBC Select), and aggregated consumer sentiment from places like Trustpilot and the Better Business Bureau. We cite what we use, and we update the pages when providers change their terms.

We do not fabricate statistics. If something cannot be verified against a source we’re willing to link to, we leave it out.

Marvin is the founder and lead writer. He’s based in the Netherlands and has been building independent research and review sites across categories like VPNs, AI tools, and travel for several years. Pet insurance is a category with thin, often sponsored coverage online — which is exactly the kind of gap this portfolio exists to fill.
