Who pays us

We participate in affiliate programs for the pet insurance carriers we cover, which currently include (or may include in the future) Lemonade, Healthy Paws, Embrace, Figo, and Pets Best. Each carrier pays a different commission rate. Those rates have no effect on where a provider ranks in our reviews.

How we pick what to review

We add providers to our review list based on market share, consumer interest, and whether we can meaningfully differentiate them. We do not accept payment to add or remove a provider. When we say a provider has weak coverage or slow claims, we’re telling you even if we earn a commission from them.

How to spot an affiliate link

Any link labelled “Compare plans”, “Get a quote”, or pointing to a carrier’s website may be an affiliate link. Internal links to our own articles are never affiliate links.
